Okay, I've moved.

I'm tired of this name, so I switched over to another journal for fun.

Maybe in a year I'll switch again... but I kept this one for like 2 years so...

Umm, yeah. See ya.

(Email's still the same, so if you want to get a hold of me, email me.)

In my English class today, we had a lesson on grammer.

Now, my english class is all about academic writing, like using MLA and APA style to cite sources in papers. So, grammer isn't normally on the agenda.

Today, we had an entire lesson about commas and how to use them properly.

I was so excited; I love grammer! Which is kinda weird. But anyway. We also did semicolons.

Why does this make me happy?

And something else that makes me happy and also makes me go, "huh?":

The essay for my english class about Lolitas, and how men view women in men's magazines, that I worked on for like 4 hours tops (including research and breaks and all) got a B+. With only 4 spelling/grammer mistakes. The class average was, like, 10.

I am amused.

A conversation heard while eating:

Random Guy #1: What's with this? *motions to his neck*
Random Guy #2: With what?
RG1: You shave?
RG2: Oh! Yeah, I'm going to see my girlfriend.
RG1: And what about the, uh, other thing... *motions vaguely to his neck again*
RG2: *blank look*
RG1: The, you know... the hickey!
RG2: Dude, my girlfriend gave me this! You think I'd be stupid enough to visit her with some other girl's hickey on my neck?
RG1: *considers*
Jen: *facepalm*

I cannot believe it: I'm actually writing an essay that says that the best way to get youth into politics is to introduce it as a core course in high school and force people to take it (much like English).

... I'm so glad I'm out of high school and they can't spring something like that on me. I'd hate it.

I can't believe I actually wrote that...

Hmm. So, I think I may actually have done the complete opposite from what I have ever done when writing.

I have written something that has actual characters. I think. And it't not depressing. Or angsty. Or... anything, really, that I've written before.

I kinda like it. Even though my favourite character hasn't even appeared yet.

Characters ahoy! )

BWAHAHAHAHAHA.

*coughs*

...

Katherine Pulaski
You scored 16 Physically Able, 20 Mentally Able, and 16 Morally Good! (30 is max)
You're Dr. Pulaski!

Physically: Medium

Mentally: Medium

Morally: Medium

Dr. Pulaski, among other things, fixed Picard's broken heart. (no, not like that! She implanted a new one) Pulaski loves debating social progress, sometimes overzealously. She can, however, seem argumentative and rude. What's the difference between her and Crusher? Well, she's not as concerned for every living thing as Crusher, but she's a lot tougher.

Well, you got the less popular Dr. Pulaski. You might share her mediocre level of popularity, but it's only because you're seen as too self-righteous and argumentative. Oh well, you mean well, and aren't particularly mean in your approach, perhaps just a little high strong. Like Pulaski, your primed for a career where you you get to try new things, push the envelope of your field, and engage in mentally stimulating pursuits. Yay!

The character most unlike you is: Noone? Yeah, you're right in the middle of everything. You have no equal or oposite.

My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

This was just too funny:

Hello. This is Ron's answering machine, Marvin, and I'm so depressed. I have 50,000 times the memory capacity of my owner, but all I get to do is answer the phone. Life. Don't talk to me about life. Just leave your name and number after the beep. Here comes the beep, how I hate that beep, it's so cheery sounding.

From this amazingly funny site.

ETA: And!:

1: I didn't expect an answering machine.

2: Nobody expects an answering machine.

1: Our chief use is to get your name. And your phone number.

2: Our two chief uses are to get your name and your phone number.

1: Oops! And your message message.

2: Our three uses are to get your name, phone number, and message.

1: And time you called.

2: Oh, great, we'll have to start over.

1: No time for that, so just wait for the beep.

Thank you very much to the person who just text messaged me on my phone in the middle of my Politics class, where all sound carries and because I'm at the back EVERYONE can hear my phone talking to me. Everyone being over 180 people.

Isn't the pouring rain just a perfect fit with my now bad mood? Also, my pants are wet.

ETA: Okay, so yes I wrote this and then I got home and I was still irritated and it's nit just the rain and the phone thing today just seems like the perfect day to do a nice, old fashioned rant, so if you're not in the mood for listening to some college chick go on about how irritated she is right now, you might want to find another place to look at.

And the day started off so well...

I woke up this morning late becuase I didn;t have class until one, which was perfectly fine, 'cause I'd been tired. So, all good so far.

Then, I go to take a shower, leaving my roommate in the room studying. 'Cause I know that she doesn't have a class for another hour, I don;t take my keys. First mistake. I leave the bathroom and walk back to my room, finding myself with only a closed door. Me, being me, just assumes that Kim has closed the door so that she can study better. Two minutes of knocking on the door later, I know for sure that Kim isn't in the room. Okay.

I'm still in a towel, because I didn;t bring my clothes with me. Okay. All i have to do is call the RA who isn;t on duty and ask if for some reason she has a key to my room. SHe's not in her room. SHe doesn't have a cell phone. Luckily, by this time I have garned the sympathy of a floormate, and I'm wearing a tank top and shorts. Okay. Call the housing office. I have to go there and pick up a stupid key because there aren't any people they can send up. Still in my tank top and shorts.

Go downstairs, run into the janitor and after I'm about to go outside, he tells me that he has a key. Okay! Alright, so I'm in my room again. Kim walks in RIGHT AT THAT MOMENT. *sighs* *feels like banging her head against the wall*

English class. Nothing bad happens, noting good happens. End up staring at my clipboard for half the time.

Writing. WANT TO STRANGLE THE IDIOT GUY WHO SITS NEXT TO ME AND APPARENTLY REALLY IS JUST SOME STUPID STUCK UP GIT WHO I REALLY WANT TO SMACK EVERY FUCKING TIME HE OPENS HIS MOUTH.

Take a test. Can't remember what 'censure' means. Only question that I can't get, so no problem.

Outside, It's raining. Sigh. My new shoes are getting wet even though I PUT THE STUPID SHOE STUFF ON THEM.

Politics. My phone goes off, and it takes me 30 seconds for me to find the stupid thing. Once I get it in my hands, the damn thing turns off. The professor makes some stupid smart comment.

Feelings of wanting to hit someone? Rising.

Time? Not even 6.

Only good thing to happen later tonight? I'm having a a fucking cheeseburger and fries, and then lots of chocolate. And then I am sleeping later.

Except then I have like 6 or 7 HOURS of travelling cause we're going to whistler for a FAMILY REUNION TYPE THING. AND IT'S GOING TO RAIN. *swears*

I'm in Poli Sci right now... SO BORING.

the prof is going on about everything we talked about last day, and we've been in class for 15 minutes!!!

... of course, it doesn't help that it's now boring. Stupid politics and stupid quebecois and stupid bloddy english people in 19th century 'canada' who couldn't agree on anything and therefore made themselves their own holes. well, damn them, they now have to lie in them!

and yes, i do realize i may have got my... somethings... mixed up, but that's how stupid it all is.

It's all Durham's fault.

on a lighter note, YAY for Adena!!!!!!

(now who wants to talk about her presents in fornt of her?)

THE RULES:
List five songs that you currently love. It doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions, the artists, and the songs in your blog (livejournal). Then tag five other livejournal friends to see what they're listening to.

1. Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.
2. Kanye West - Gold Digger
3. Inuyasha Instumental- The End of Sadness
4. Kyprios - Feelin Alright
5. Guns and Roses - Welcome to the Jungle

Okay, so my english prof? Insane. Except I think that he'll probably be my favourite prof this semester. Honestly, he called himself a "technoplebe." And when some girl needed a chair, he offered to carry it to her, saying, "it's okay, I'm trying to put my back out and get a week off."

He's also old. But hilariously funny in that British way. (Cause of the fact that he is British and all.)

All my classes are really good right now, and I'm having a blast. To everyone I still owe emails to - I'm not avioding you. It's just... heh. Well, this is me, we're talking about.

Umm, there'll be a longer update later.

But just to let everyone know - I miss you all, but I'll be back soon.

Also, Adena, what did you want for your birthday again?

I have an iPod mini.

This is how I got it:

Me: Oooh, look, shiny new paycheck. Must be responsible and deposit and save it so that I can actually do stuff for the eight months I will be at school.
The iPod: Look at me, I'm so nice! PIck me, pick me!
Me: Oh, but... *tries vainly to be responsible* I... can't...
The iPod: You know you want me...
Me: Oooh, shiny... *buys*
The iPod: *Mwahahahaha*
Me: *doesn't care that she has now spent $284* Ooooh, pretty.

... It's green.

.... I LOVE IT AND I'M SORRY TO BE LIKE THIS BUT I CAN'T CONTAIN MYSELF SO STOP YOUR ENVIOUS LOOKS RIGHT NOW KTHNXBYE.

It's so beautiful... My Precious....

Tonight I saw the Fantastic Four. It wasn't great, but it also didn't suck, so the producers should be reasonably happy.

I definitely enjoyed the trailers - well, the one trailer that was good, anyway. The rest were horrible. Except for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. That was also good.

But no, the trailer that I enjoyed was The Island. When I first saw it I thought it was that lottery story, where some name gets pulled at random anad the person whose name is called either kills someone or gets killed by someone, I can't remember. But yeah, the trailer looks really good so I am naturally going to have to see it. And I'm going to drag a few of you along as well, because of the complex plot and seriousness of the film.

Also, it has Ewan McGreggor in it. And Scarlott Johansen. But we don't really care about her.

Ewan McGreggor.

The Fantastic Four, hereafter known as TFF because short things are fun (like me)! )
In other news, I saw Pitch Black for the first (real) time. SO SCARY OMG.
